Canon EOS-1D Mark III Firmware Update Version 1.1.3

Image This firmware update (Version 1.1.3) incorporates the following improvements and fixes.

1. Increases transmission speed when using high-speed SD cards.
2. Fixes a phenomenon involving not being able to release the shutter.
3. Improves AF tracking in specific conditions.
4. Corrects errors in the Spanish and Korean menu screens.

The Version 1.1.3 firmware being released this time is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.1.1. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.1.3, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

Image This software enables the addition of the D2X Mode Optional Picture Controls to D300 / D3 cameras.

* When these optional Picture Controls are registered with the D3 / D300 digital-SLR camera, which supports the Picture Control System, color reproduction simulating that of the D2X and D2XS is possible;

* This is a set of three optional Picture Controls, one for each of the three D2X/D2XS Color mode settings;

* When the optional Picture Controls are registered with the D3 digital-SLR camera, color reproduction simulating that of images captured with the D2X and D2XS is possible, and custom Picture Controls can also be created based on these optional Picture Controls;

* For black-and-white images, use the standard Monochrome Nikon Picture Control;

Nikon D300 8 FPS High Speeds Continuous Shoot First Look (Image)

Image Mount the Nikon D300 with its battery grip, the MB-D10, the machine will be able to perform high speed continuous shoot at 8fps, 2fps faster than without the battery grip.

The Canon 40D firmware updates incorporates the following improvements and fixes:

1. When playing back images just after recovering from Auto Power Off, the display now shows the last image played back.
2. During remote shooting, images are now displayed on the camera's LCD monitor right after they are taken.
3. Corrects a warning message in Korean that appears when updating the firmware.
4. Corrects errors in the Spanish menu screens.
5. Corrects a phenomenon that prevented printing with some print systems.
6. Corrects a rare phenomenon in which file numbers or image numbers were sometimes skipped.
