Nikon AF-S DX 50mm f/1.4G G 100% Cropped Sample Photos

The AF-S DX NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G lens is perfect for low-light conditions, general and travel photography. The AF-S DX NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G lens is an ideal portrait lens when used on a Nikon DX-format digital SLR, approximating the angle of view similar to that of a 75mm lens on a Nikon FX-format digital SLR or a 50mm film camera. When mounted on NIkon FX-format digital slr is provides the classic normal angle of view for users.

 

The AF-S DX NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G is built-in with exclusive Nikon Silent Wave Motor (SWM) which enables fast, accurate, and quiet autofocus and allows auto focus on Nikon D40, D40x and D60.

This is currently one of the most affordable Super-Telephoto lens by Nikon. If this lens was announced 8 years ago, I will not pay any attention at all because at then DSLRs’ ISO1600 was mostly a marketing strategy and was only good for Black and White prints. These days, for amateur photographers, f5.6 coupled with any midrange DSLRs’ ISO3200 or even ISO6400, one will be able to get a decent shutter speed for wildlife or sports photography.

Love these samples especially the portrait ones – demonstrating D750’s power when paired with 35mm F1.8G

This is the official sample photos from Nikon, as usual, cropped into 100% for better viewing.
Patience on its loading time.

A good catch using one of my favourite wide-angle lens the AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED. I was at actually expecting some sports footage, but this will do – for now.
