Nikon released their D600 replacement, namely the D610 which adds yet another full frame (FX) model to its shelf. There is not much difference in comparison with the older D600. What we hope is really that what happen with D600 sensor, does not happen here.
Following are some official sample photos from Nikon exclusively for the 24 Megapixel FX D610:
1/500 f5.6 ISO1000 850mm AF-S VR Nikkor 600mm f/4G ED + AI AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-14E II
1/500 f5.6 ISO1000 850mm AF-S VR Nikkor 600mm f/4G ED + AI AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-14E II
I am quite happy with the sample photos, especially those birding photos taken with AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4G ED VR + AI AF-S TELECONVERTER TC-14E II. The level of noise is fairly low and it does provide a great touch of for wildlife photography.
This is currently one of the most affordable Super-Telephoto lens by Nikon. If this lens was announced 8 years ago, I will not pay any attention at all because at then DSLRs’ ISO1600 was mostly a marketing strategy and was only good for Black and White prints. These days, for amateur photographers, f5.6 coupled with any midrange DSLRs’ ISO3200 or even ISO6400, one will be able to get a decent shutter speed for wildlife or sports photography.
Nikon D750 AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR – Birding
Love these samples especially the portrait ones – demonstrating D750’s power when paired with 35mm F1.8G
This is the official sample photos from Nikon, as usual, cropped into 100% for better viewing.
Patience on its loading time.
A good catch using one of my favourite wide-angle lens the AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED. I was at actually expecting some sports footage, but this will do – for now. (more…)
