Nikon D3 at Osaka,Japan (ISO250- 5000)
August 27, 2007
Nikon D300 photo leaked? A reader directed me with the following photos. There are said to be taken with Nikon D300 at ISO6400. Nikon has yet to officially release any of the Nikon D300 sample photos. So how true is the photo below? Judge yourself :)
Details seemed to remain after noise reduction, at the rate of ISO6400, this is simply amazing. There is no actual ISO rating on the exif of the photo when openned with Nikon Capture NX, but it is believed to be ISO6400. So, what do you think?
I am wondering how is Canon 40D’s high iso performance, below is a photo taken at night with Canon 40D iso1600.
The sample photo is cropped at 100%. No post processing, no resizing. Resolution of each cropped photo varies.
1. Open in Adobe Photoshop CS3
2. Enlarge sample photo to 100%
3. Crop sections accordingly
5. Flatten Image
6. Save as JPEG.
The sample photo is only a reference. I think that Canon 40D’s ISO1600 performance is very good, judging from the above photo alone. But it maybe only accurate when side-by-side comparison is being done with other model like Nikon D300 and Canon 30D.
