Rob Galbraith tested Compact Flash performance of Nikon D3x and Sony Alpha 900 recently.The data below shows how long it took the Nikon D3X to write 23 JPEG Fine and then 15 RAW NEF and Sony Alpha 900 to write 20 Extra Fine JPEG and then 10 uncompressed RAW .ARW photos to the memory card.
CES 2009, South Hall, Booth # 30659, LAS VEGAS– Jan. 7, 2009– SanDisk Corporation and Sony Corporation today announced the joint development of two expanded formats that will shape the flash memory landscape for years to come. “Memory Stick format for Extended High Capacity (Tentative name)” expands the “Memory Stick PRO” format series to achieve a maximum storage capacity of 2-terabytes (TB)1, while the “Memory Stick HG Micro” format enables a maximum data-transfer speed of 60 megabytes per second (MB/s)2, making it one of the fastest-smallest memory card formats to date.
