Pop Photo tested the new Nikon wide angle –
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED recently. As quoted from PopPhoto, this lens is superbly silent during focusing in addition to fast and acurate.

Pop Photo concluded the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED as follow:
“Though expensive, this lens will prove well worth its price to any Nikonian who needs maximum wide-angle views with a minimum of optical distortion.”
This is currently one of the most affordable Super-Telephoto lens by Nikon. If this lens was announced 8 years ago, I will not pay any attention at all because at then DSLRs’ ISO1600 was mostly a marketing strategy and was only good for Black and White prints. These days, for amateur photographers, f5.6 coupled with any midrange DSLRs’ ISO3200 or even ISO6400, one will be able to get a decent shutter speed for wildlife or sports photography.

A good catch using one of my favourite wide-angle lens the AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8G ED. I was at actually expecting some sports footage, but this will do – for now.
