Nikon to replace D40x with D60 Spring 2008?

Numerous sources are indication that a D60 replacement is due with few places reporting “out of stock” in their inventory.

In addition, Nikon is lowering the price of Nikon D200, Nikon D80 and Nikon D40x and Nikon D40. It is made known that the Nikon D40 will remain.

I doubt that Nikon will place a motor inside the D40x’s replacement, one will still need to use AF-S or HSM lens.
