KLPF (Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival) 2007- Tamron showcased their newest product, the Tamron SP AF70-200MM F\/2.8 DI LD (IF) MACRO. This lens was announced by Mr. Morio Ono, President of Tamron Co., Ltd. at the beginning of the year, a short interview with the Ms Jaimie Yap, a representative from Futoromic Photo- Exclusive distributor of Tamron Malaysia, indicated that this lens shall begin shipping at the end of the year. When asked if it shall be on shelf on December 2007, we did not get a confirm answer.<\/p>\n

We were only able hold and look around its exterior and examine the built as it was a pre-production unit and not 100% working, therefore no sample image was taken.\u00a0 However, Ms Jaimie was kind enough to let us have a few shots of the lens out of the glass shelf. The lens feels solid and weighs around like a Sigma 70-200 F2.8 non Macro. Until a sample unit is given for testing, enjoy the photos of the lens at the moment.<\/p>\n

\nentire zoom range; an excellent maximum macro magnification ratio of 1:3.1 at
\nf=200mm; and an advantageous internal focusing (IF) system. The new tele-zoom

\ntelephoto to 200mm telephoto when mounted on full-size format SLR cameras and a
