The anticipated Canon 5D replacement is soon a dream come true for those who are looking forward to it. Canon is going to launch their long rumored Canon 5D replacement which some called it a 5D Mark II while others name it as the 7D. Canon 5D lifecycle is long due in comparison with its other EOS models.
Canon has confirmed and updated several of their websites with a teaser indicating See the Future of Photography and Destined Evolution. Image Nature magazine is introducing new Canon 7D in their upcoming edition, making us to believe that the new 5D Full Frame replacement should be called the Canon EOS 7D.
The megapixel war has suddenly ignited once again with camera manufacturers marketing their digital SLR with high megapixel count such as the Sony a900 with 24 Megapixel sensor. The 7D should be a direct competitor with Nikon D700 and Sony Alpha a900 as it is at similar price range.
The 7D is rumored to have similar image processor with Canon EOS 50D which is the DIGIC IV. The DIGIC IV is said to have enhanced noise management having better image noise control than DIGIC III. The 3.2 inch LCD is larger in comparison 3 inch by other manufacturers.
The boost for the 5D replacement is its ability to record High Definition (HD) videos. Nikon announced D90 and with HD video record feature stunned the world as no one expect digital single lens reflex has the ability to do so, now it is Canon’s turn to built this feature into their digital SLR. Canon have it in their professional line and Nikon currently have it in their amateur line.
